Back in February, Ray Rice knocked his fiancée out cold in an elevator at the Revel casino in Atlantic City. A video of his fiancée passed out outside of the elevator was immediately released at the time and the local police authorities were notified.

FUMBLE # 1 – GROWN ASS HEAVILY MUSCLED MEN SHOULD NEVER KNOCKOUT THEIR FIANCEE

The next month in March, Rice’s original charge of simple assault was upgraded to aggravated assault after the case was presented by prosecutors to a grand jury. Aggravated assault carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Rice married his fiancée the very next day.

FUMBLE # 2 – DON’T MARRY THE HEAVILY MUSCLED MAN THAT BEAT YOU THE DAY AFTER HE IS INDICTED FOR BEATING YOU. IT MAKES YOU LOOK WEAK AND CONTROLLED.

In May, Rice rejected a plea offer that would have spared him jail time in exchange for completing probation and undergoing anger management. Instead, he pleaded not guilty and applied for a program for first-time offenders that could clear him of charges in as few as six months. The program would require Rice to stay out of trouble and attend regular counseling. The program was granted to him.

FUMBLE # 3 – HOW THE HELL DID PROSECUTORS ALLOW A PLEA TO COUNSELING AFTER SEEING RICE KNOCK OUT HIS FIANCEE IN THE ELEVATOR?

All of the evidence was turned over to the NFL and Rice and his wife met with the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to go over what happened in detail. As per the NFL, Rice and his wife were very forthright and Rice admitted his wrongdoing. The NFL was completely aware that it was dealing with a domestic violence incident and made a decision as to how they would punish Rice. In July, The NFL fined Ray Rice $58,000 in addition to giving him a two-game suspension.

FUMBLE # 4 – JUST A 2 GAME SUSPENSION FOR KNOCKING HIS WIFE OUT WHEN OTHER PLAYERS ARE SMOKING POT AND GETTING SUSPENDED FOR A YEAR??!!.

In August, after NFL Commissioner was criticized for being too lenient with Ray Rice, Roger Goodell sent a letter to all the NFL owners explaining stiffer sentences for domestic violence – a 6-game suspension without pay for the 1st offense and a lifetime ban for the 2nd. Here’s a blurb from his statement:

Although the NFL is celebrated for what happens on the field, we must be equally vigilant in what we do off the field. At times, however, and despite our best efforts, we fall short of our goals. We clearly did so in response to a recent incident of domestic violence. We allowed our standards to fall below where they should be and lost an important opportunity to emphasize our strong stance on a critical issue and the effective programs we have in place. My disciplinary decision led the public to question our sincerity, our commitment, and whether we understood the toll that domestic violence inflicts on so many families. I take responsibility both for the decision and for ensuring that our actions in the future properly reflect our values. I didn’t get it right. Simply put, we have to do better. And we will.

FUMBLE # 5 – THE COMMISSIONER HAD ALL OF THE EVIDENCE IN FRONT OF HIM WHEN HE GAVE RICE A 2 DAY SUSPENSION. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS ONLY A REACTION TO THE BAD PRESS THAT THE NFL WAS GETTING. PLEASE NOTE NO ADDITIONAL PUNISHMENT WAS ADDED.

On September 8th, TMZ (which specializes in obtaining elevator videos ) published the video of what happened inside the elevator at Revel Casino. The video clearly shows Ray Rice striking his then fiancée and knocking her out cold.

FUMBLE # 6 – WHY CAN’T PEOPLE REMEMBER THAT ELEVATORS HAVE CAMERAS IN THEM!!

The video was released on in the internet by TMZ in the morning and by early afternoon the Baltimore Ravens announced that they cut and released Ray Rice.

FUMBLE # 7 – FOR MONTHS THE RAVENS WERE OUTSPOKEN OF HOW PROUD THEY WERE OF RAY AND HIS WIFE FOR BEING FORTHRIGHT ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, TAKING RESPONSIBILTY FOR THEIR ACTIONS, AND WORKING ON BETTERING THEMSELVES AS PEOPLE. SO WHAT HAS CHANGED CAUSING THEM TO CUT HIM?? THE RAVENS ARE ADDING PUNISHMENT THAT WAS ALREADY GIVEN EVEN THOUGH THE OFFENSE COMMITTED HASN’T CHANGED!!

Moments after the Ravens cut Rice the NFL said they were banning Rice indefinitely.

FUMBLE # 8 – WHY THE CHANGE OF HEART BY THE NFL? GOODELL HAD THE CHANCE TO BAN RICE AT HIS FIRST RULING AND HAD ANOTHER CHANCE WHEN HE ANNOUNCED THE NEW DOMESTIC ABUSE POLICY JUST 2 WEEKS AGO WHEN HE ADMITTED “ I DIDN”T GET IT RIGHT”. CLEARLY, THIS VIDEO BEING RELEASED BY TMZ IS CAUSING THE NFL TO GIVE IN TO BAD PRESS BY PUNISHING RICE EVEN THOUGH THEY ALREADY DID!!!

Today, the NFL which is now trying to save an image that doesn’t exist let out a statement saying that they never saw the videotape that TMZ was able to get.

FUMBLE # 9 THE NFL is a billion times more powerful then TMZ with an army of lawyers and ex-police officers on their payroll but they want us to believe that they never received a copy of the video?? Maybe the NFL should hire a wannabee actor TMZ intern! And if they didn’t receive it, didn’t they already admit that they were appalled by Rice’s behavior when they gave him the 2 day suspension.

Bottom line is that the NFL fucked up on the handling of this matter because they don’t have the level of compassion towards domestic violence that they want us to believe they have. The NFL is full of criminals and I still want to know why 3 time accused rapist Ben Rothelisberger is playing in the NFL. Once, maybe someone just wants us a check. But the fact that 3 different ladies filed complaints and the fact that Ben settled all 3 cases speaks volume. The NFL suspended Ben for 6 games which is 2 games per rape and falls in line with the same penalty Rice originally received.
A short while ago, Ray Rice’s wife Janay published the following letter on her Instagram page:

BxGVJmEIgAE3ffn

I know that everyone in today’s world think that they’re Dr. Phil and are quick to diagnose that she is suffering from battered wife syndrome. However, why don’t some of you put your fake PhD diplomas aside and try to imagine that maybe Janay Rice is speaking from her heart. Granted, battered wife syndrome exists but why can’t she be an exception? As she said, it is her life and WE are making her relive a moment in their lives that they regret.

FUMBLE # 10 – PEOPLE AND THE MEDIA SHOULD RECONSIDER CRUCIFYING PEOPLE AFTER THEY ALREADY ACKNOWLEDGED THEIR MISTAKES AND HAVE SOUGHT HELP. THE NFL AND THE MEDIA ARE DOING WHAT EVERYONE IS ACCUSING JANAY RICE OF DOING – SELLING YOUR MORALS FOR MONEY!!!!
