Me•mo•ri•al Day noun 1. a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, traditionally observed on May 30 but now officially observed on the last Monday in May. NBC aired a live star-studded telethon last night to honor “Red Nose Day”. Red Nose Day is an annual fundraiser event that has been taking place in London since 1988.
